Dr. Paula Langford
Dr. Paula S. Langford is a native Baltimorean and a transformational leader, therapist, and author. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland and became the first African American Roman Catholic woman to receive both her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Howard University School of Divinity.
With more than thirty years of experience as a clinical social worker in Baltimore City and the District of Columbia, Dr. Langford specializes in brain-body-based interventions and performance enhancement coaching to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and performance challenges. She believes in a “coffee and conversation” approach to therapy, making healing accessible and real, and helps clients create therapeutic toolbelts they can use in the moment.
She has contributed to three anthologies—Black Therapists Rock, Fiercely Speaking, and Pursue—and remains passionate about the healing of God’s children and families everywhere. A fierce advocate for justice, she lives by the conviction that “no one is free until we are all free.”
