Workshop Description:

Sister Imposter Syndrome (SIS)

She's All in Your Head. Releasing SIS Using Brain-Body-Based Interventions

This empowering workshop will help participants uncover and release Sister Imposter Syndrome (SIS) through brain-body-based interventions, including natural gaze, African body wrapping, IFS (Internal Family Systems) parts identification, and the empty chair exercise. Participants will explore when SIS first emerged in their system, recognize her as a protector, and develop strategies to get her to relax. Through engaging activities, participants will learn to connect with SIS, gain insights into her presence, and foster a healthier relationship with themselves.

"She showed up when I started shining. But that voice?

That’s not mine."

"SIS was born to protect me. But I’ve outgrown the need to hide."

Releasing SIS: A Healing Journey from Shadow to Self

There was a time when I didn’t know her name, but I felt her presence.
She whispered that I wasn’t enough.
That I was just lucky.
That I didn’t belong.
That if they found out the truth, I’d be exposed.

That voice?
We call her SIS – Sister Imposter Syndrome.
And while she might live in your head, she was born in your story.

SIS shows up strong when we’re on the edge of greatness.
She masks herself as humility, when she’s really fear in a pretty dress.
But here’s the truth: SIS didn’t come to destroy you.
She came to protect you.
To keep you safe in systems that told you your light was dangerous.

We don’t silence SIS—we see her,
get to know her and teach her how to rest.

Through brain-body-based interventions like natural gaze, African body wrapping, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the empty chair method,
we help Black women return to the throne of their own bodies and brilliance.

You’ve outgrown the need to hide.

It’s time to step forward—not as an imposter, but as the embodiment of every woman who survived before you.

Make It

“It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
